A little bit of a work in progress. I’ve been getting some practice in with my drop spindle. This is 100g of merino tops in a colourway called “Larkspur” which I split, drafted, spun in batches because my spindle is small, wound out to measure, soaked, wrung out and am now hanging to set the twist.
I love the colours and the striping, and can’t wait to see how it turns out once it’s dried (last photo the yarn is wet so looks darker). It works out at around 72 yards for 100g, which is thicker than an aran but just a little thinner than a bulky.
