Embroidering about a bajillion different things right now. Working on my TAST entry/diary page. Stupidly I started it before finding out what the TAST stitch for this week is and, although I find french knots very easy and use them a lot, I’m finding it hard to work out a way to use them as a proper feature of this week’s piece.
Also stitched up a detailed sampler to turn into a cushion cover, very pretty, can’t wait to sew it up. Going to use scrap cotton for the patchwork, dye it to match the stitches then sew the embroidery panel in. I’m probably going to try and sell some of the cushions and stuff I’m making because I kinda really need it right now.
Also been trying to figure out if I could do cross-stitch versions of awesome stuff from Dwarf Fortress. Short answer is yes, but. Long answer is I can easily convert the tileset I use (Myne) to a simple cross-stitch pattern and it looks awesome on black AIDA fabric, but it took me four episodes of Supernatural to stitch the letters A-D and a single dorf face, so isn’t going to be a terribly quick project. Certainly not something I could sell for money.
