So Hollywood is making Cloud Atlas into a movie.
On the one hand, I’m intrigued by the possibility that Hollywood is willing to take a risk like this, and make a cinematic version of a novel that doesn’t have a neat, easy single narrative.
On the other, I’m very, very worried they’ll cram formulaic elements in to make it easier to write for cinema, miss the entire point of the different stories and generally just mess it...
